Sarah was a great waitress and the food was tasty. The trout from tasteful waters had a certain peculiarity. All in all, it was nice.

A very nice inn with friendly staff and very good food! The goulash soup I tried, the sausage salad and the roast pork are highly recommended! Gladly again :) The Andechs beer is also super tasty. Worth a visit.

High quality food, delicious beer and friendly service. Reservation recommended. It is best to go there when there are not crowds of tourists. Price-performance ratio is definitely right.

The beer garden and the restaurant were almost empty - guests still have to wait 5-10 minutes before they can be seated. The waitresses deliberately take detours so as not to come into contact with those waiting. When you arrive at the table, it doesn't get much more cordial; rather objectively distant. The beer is okay, but it doesn't keep up with Weihenstephan. The food is average. Overall, the trip was not worth it at all. It probably needs a change of operator first ...

Nice service, great view and delicious food. What more do you want? In the Corona times, the hygiene concept was implemented perfectly. At no time did we feel uncomfortable.

Very nice service, brisk service and good food, about the beer 🍻 you don't have to talk about it here 😳🤔😊😂. I had the crust roast with a real crust, great. Years ago I was up in the monastery in the tavern, that was something in between the station hall and the motorway restaurant.

I found it a little sad that so many people mainly went to the Andechs brewery that day. This inn is also very nice and quiet and just as cozy. There is a very nice view from the beer garden. The prices of some dishes or desserts are a bit high, but the taste of the dessert convinced us. The service was very friendly and attentive. Many thanks. The manager of the inn was also very nice, helpful and showed and told me everything very nicely. During the Corona period we were in the beer garden and saw the tables and the chairs were disinfected - the service staff always wore the mouth and nose masks correctly. One can really only recommend the inn. We are very excited. The hygiene concept would be implemented very well. A short wait, then the boss brought us to our table and disinfected by hand. You can honestly say that this is a boss thing. Food great ... Icelandic salmon and pork roast. We recommend. So, we are absolutely thrilled. Thank you for the beautiful day.

By far the best restaurant we have ever been to! We had a restaurant ourselves and know what is important. Everything was right here by far! Super fast service and very friendly, the ambience is very nice and clean! The view in the beer garden is simply amazing. The food and dessert were also very, very good! As we experienced the restaurant that day, it is worth a clear 5 star rating. See you next Bavaria vacation, we'll be back! best regards

What can I say - the menu is poor, the food unimaginative. Tastes like warmed up. The onion roast tasted good. It's not like it used to be, less friendly, less creative. Masses are passed through and so it is managed. The view is still nice

In Corona times almost everything went smoothly. Friendly staff, beautiful views and a largely well-kept atmosphere invite you to linger. The food was good and the quality of the meal lets overlook the long waiting time. We would love to come back.

Great view when the weather is right. Good Bavarian food. Delicious beer. Very nice and helpful staff. The management has to be excellent, the good working atmosphere can be felt and is transferred to the customers.

Very nice view, if you like it a little quieter on Andechs, this is the place for you. Nevertheless always full, so reserve or be lucky / bring patience. The prices of some dishes are a bit too high, but the taste was convincing. The service was very friendly and attentive.

Top service and delicious food! Ambience was great with scenic views. Eating under the shade of a chestnut tree was heavenly. Will recommend to everyone. A must when coming to Herrsching.

For people complaining about food, you come here for the beer! This beer is unparralled for hundreds of miles. Excellent. It does get crowded and busy as it is a popular place, if you want somebody to hold your hand and rub your back go to Disney world. PROST!!!

I know how busy it gets here, so I booked a table. Except I didn't: stubbornly trying to do everything in German, I booked a completely different restaurant in the next village. The manager here made us welcome in spite of being incredibly busy and full; I'm so impressed and grateful. Great views, wonderful building, delicious food; perfect. Next time I'll be careful and book the correct place!

We were there spontaneously Saturday afternoon, expected to get hardly a place, but got a nice place on the terrace. The service staff was very attentive, the food very, very good .. I ate the roast pork, great crust, the best I have eaten in a long time. We will gladly come back, if we urgently need a place, we will gladly reserve in advance.

Beautiful beer garden with great views to the snowy mountains. Much quieter than directly in the monastery tavern up on the mountain and also inside wonderful wonderful guest rooms. The kitchen knows what it does and can score with fresh and good taste. Service was very friendly and accommodating. The landlords are constantly on the move and support the staff with words and deeds. The prices are unfortunately on the level of Munich city center, but that is in the Herschinger area probably absolutely normal. Gladly again!

Unfortunately the portions were ridiculously small. The fried potato were swimming in fat on top of. Really not what you expect from the nice location. Would strongly recommend going to any of the other places around.

Visited a couple of weeks ago and yes it is perfect Bavarian culture, great food and the beer is devine. It's geared up for the masses but it is great. Visit everytime I am in the area.

The staff was very friendly and food was good. The restaurant could use a bit of an update. The paint was peeling and the furniture was pretty worn. Overall I would definitely still go as the food and staff are what define the restaurant, not the newness of the furnishings.

Nice atmosphere

I think this was the best food we had in Germany. Granted our focus was beer halls and country foods, but this was just perfect. And that's amazing considering it's a major tourist destination without the need to compete by creating great food. I had 1/4 duck and it was crispy and succulent, not overdone but perfectly crispy and flavorful with purple cabbage. The ragout was incredible - definitely the best of the trip and a full meal. And the beers are, as you might expect, as good as it gets. It was a hot day and we opted for lagers. They were perfect. And sitting on the patio the view was wonderful. We took the S8 to Herrsching and walked to Andechs. It was a cool, easy walk through trees along a creek. When you come to the steps that go up the hill to Andechs it is a bit challenging, but we all arrived with a fantastic appetite and enjoyed a forest trail walk too.

After a nice hike to Kloster Andechs we were in for a short bite and some beer. It took us some time to decide where to enjoy this, because there are 3 beer gardens/halls next to the monastery but I think we made the right choice. We ordered Rinderkraftbruhe mit Leberknodel and Topfenknodel mit Aprokosenragout. We took a sit in the cool and shady beergarden which is welcoming enough so that everyone can catch a glimpse of the nice surroundings. You could see the mountains from almost any table. The staff was prompt as we didn't have to wait too long for our beers to arrive. Beer in Bavaria is very good anyways, however I encourage you to try the local one. The Knodel broth was delicious. I tried several Leberknodel broths in Munchen, I finally found out how it is supposed to taste. The dumplings for the dessert were also very nicely done, not too sweet, not too dull, it was amazing, and I wasn't even very hungry. During my stay I took a peek on the neighbouring plates, and what I've seen looked also great. I highly recommend for a breezy easy summer day, Bavarian style!

We were welcome like dogs and I wonder if dogs would have appreciated it. Consequently we moved to the restaurant facing this horrible one and grilled fishes were very good and the guy is very sympathetic.

The worst service I have ever experienced in my life!!!!!! If you guys "welcome" people like this, be sure they visit you not because of your social skills!! Waiters have miserable attitude and should be let gone!!

Beer is the only one that´s great. The food is regarding to the high price and to the Bavarian affair below average. Would not come back and recommend to anyone.
